This Privacy Policy explains how Aphelion Apps ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use SetClock ("the app"). By using SetClock, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Who We Are

SetClock is developed and operated by Aphelion Apps, an independent software developer based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at support@aphelionapps.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data when you use SetClock:

• Account information — your email address and name when you sign up via email or Google Sign-In
• Workout data — custom workout plans you create, stored securely in your account
• Advertising data — anonymised data collected by Google AdMob to serve relevant ads to free-tier users
• Usage data — basic analytics to help us understand how the app is used (via Firebase Analytics)

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Sync your custom workouts across devices
• Display advertisements to free-tier users via Google AdMob
• Improve the app based on usage patterns
• Respond to support requests

4. Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password or access to any other Google account data. Your use of Google Sign-In is also subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising

Free-tier users of SetClock are shown advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and use data about your device and usage to serve personalised ads. You can learn more about how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/privacy.

Pro users who have purchased the one-time upgrade are not shown any advertisements.

6. Data Storage & Security

Your account and workout data is stored securely using Google Firebase, hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. We apply appropriate technical measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account or request deletion of your data, we will remove your personal information and workout data from our systems within 30 days.

8. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

As a user based in or visiting from the UK or EU, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction — request that inaccurate data is corrected
• Deletion — request that your data is deleted
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to how we process your data

9. Third-Party Services

SetClock uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase — authentication and data storage
• Google AdMob — advertising (free tier only)
• Google Play — in-app purchases

10. Children's Privacy

SetClock is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of SetClock after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
